Writ Petition
A writ petition is a constitutional remedy through which a person can approach the High Court under Article 226 for protection of legal and fundamental rights against illegal or arbitrary actions of authorities. It is commonly invoked in matters relating to service disputes, administrative decisions, and violations of natural justice.
The High Court has wide powers to issue appropriate writs such as mandamus, certiorari, prohibition, quo warranto, and habeas corpus, ensuring effective and timely relief.
